According to the National Police, quoted by the Angolan daily, the driver, an employee of Grupo Carrinho, one of the largest Angolan business groups, lost control of the vehicle and collided with people who were on the side of the road.
The Carrinho Group released a statement, regretting the accident and expressing solidarity with the victims, and explained that the vehicle, a Toyota Hilux brand, was being driven by an employee, outside office hours.
The company also made itself available to the authorities to assist in whatever is necessary and undertook to inform about the outcome of the process.
