The president of the CNJ – who was speaking at the end of a visit to the company Angata (a fertilizer factory), with whom he intends to establish a partnership – explained that each cooperative will have 60 rooms to accommodate a dozen young people, with 600 jobs being assured, writes Angop.
Furthermore, he added that each cooperative will also benefit from five hectares of land and, depending on the size of the project, additional structures will also be built, such as schools, a police station, a medical station, among others.
Isaías Kalunga also informed that they have the support of the Ministry of Territory: "We have the support of the Ministry of Territory, which through the provincial governments is facilitating the transfer of land so that agro-livestock cities can emerge at the municipal level", he said.
In monetary terms, the official revealed that the financial aid is assured, being budgeted at around 375 million kwanzas for each project in all the provinces of the country, writes Angop.
Thus, he advanced that "depending on the level of interest in the project" they are already "being pressured by large commercial areas that want to sponsor the cooperatives, taking the opportunity to buy their products in advance".
The official, quoted by Angop, also clarified that "fifteen days before the implementation of the construction of the youth farming town in Bengo" they will sign "a memorandum with Angata and David Trading to speed up the process".
Domingos David, director of Angata, left guarantees that the company welcomed the project. "We believe in what is intended, as the Executive's objective is to occupy the youth for the country's economic growth, we have no way of not joining the project and contributing to the diversification of the economy and the capture of external revenues", he said, quoted by Angop.
