Sodiam will auction 36 special stones

Angola's National Diamond Trading Company (Sodiam) will hold a diamond auction over the next two weeks at its headquarters in Luanda, via electronic means only, the public company said this Saturday.

According to information from Sodiam, to which the Lusa agency had access, the viewing sessions will take place from the 8th to the 18th of this month and end on the 19th, at 10:00 am local time.

"This auction is aimed at customers registered by Sodiam and who have 'expertise' in the marketing of special stones, and the lots will include a total of 36 stones", says the company's note.

The auction group includes four special stones weighing more than 10.80 carats produced at the Lulo mine, seven special stones weighing more than 10.80 carats produced at Catoca, two special stones weighing more than 10.80 carats produced at Luminas.

Also up for auction are a special stone weighing more than 10.80 carats from the production of Chitotolo, a special stone weighing more than 10.80 carats from the Uari production, a special stone weighing more than 10.80 carats from the Lunhinga production, 19 special stones weighing more than 10.80 carats from the production of Kaixepa and a special stone of more than 10.80 carats from the production of Cooperativa Moquita.

The company advises that a detailed participation package will be provided to participants at a later date.

"All participants from outside Angola must present a Covid-19 vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test, carried out up to 72 hours before entering Angola", warns the company.
