The meeting, according to a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to which VerAngola had access, brought together ambassadors from Zambia, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, as well as representatives from Tanzania and Sudan.
"The moment served for the participants to take stock of the level of preparation for the summit, as well as to review aspects related to the event's agenda", says the communiqué.
According to the ministry, the summit "is scheduled for the 3rd of June, in Luanda", aiming to address issues of peace and security in the region.
"The presence of Heads of State and Government and their representatives is expected, as well as senior entities linked to the African Union Commission, the United Nations Secretariat, the CIRGL, the ECAC, and the East African Community", reads if still in the note.
