Economic exchange "easier with the visa waiver agreement" between Angola and Rwanda, says ambassador

The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda in Angola, Wellars Gasamagera, considered that the visa waiver agreement between the two countries has been facilitating economic exchange.

With regard to the economic sphere, the Rwandan diplomat referred to the existence of several legal instruments initialed between the two countries, which aim to strengthen and promote relations in this field, such as economic exchanges, considering that "all of this" ended up being "still easier" with the visa waiver agreement.

"All this was made even easier with the existing visa exemption agreement between the two countries, which allows Angolan citizens to enter Rwanda without a visa and vice versa", said the ambassador, who was speaking this Tuesday to the press, at the end of a meeting with the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, which took place at the Presidential Palace.

According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, which VerAngola had access to, the audience served for the ambassador to say goodbye to the head of state at the end of his mission in the country.

On the occasion, the diplomat also said that the meeting addressed issues related to various sectors, with João Lourenço expressing "will and commitment" to strengthen cooperation relations. "We talked about issues that have to do with various sectors, with the President expressing, on the occasion, his will and commitment to see our cooperation relations strengthened in more areas", he indicated.

The ambassador also classified the collaboration relations between the two countries as "excellent", adding that they have "also maintained political consultations of concerns at regional and international level".

According to the Presidency note, Wellars Gasamagera has worked in Angola for the last three and a half years. Regarding his work, he said he felt "satisfied with having contributed to the strengthening of relations between the two countries in the most varied domains".
