According to João Gomes Cravinho, on the 17th of this month, the Minister of State for Economic Coordination of Angola, Manuel Nunes Júnior, will promote, in Portugal, a conference "to explain what is the economic reality of the moment in Angola and the opportunities that exist".
"I believe that this is also very motivating for Portuguese companies that want to come to Angola", said the Portuguese minister for Foreign Affairs, also expressing satisfaction at seeing the interest of companies from other countries in Angola.
"That means that things are progressing well. And as a fraternal country, we want the good of Angola and we see with naturalness and satisfaction the commitment of other countries", reiterated the minister, dispelling fears of market loss for other countries that in the last Times have launched diplomatic offensives in Angola, such as Spain and Brazil.
"Portuguese companies are very competitive in many domains, in a very wide range of areas of activity, and nothing is worse than seeing a country being abandoned by companies from other countries, it means that in the end there will be little interest", he said.
In his turn, the Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, in statements to the press, expressed satisfaction with the continued interest of Portuguese companies in the national market, underlining that the private sector "must be a very important and active player" for the development that both countries aspire to.
"Angola is considered, for the Portuguese private sector, as an important point in the continuation of its internationalization, taking into account the geographic and geopolitical location, which allows these companies to perhaps discover other markets that are also very beneficial for Angola and Portugal" , highlighted.
João Gomes Cravinho led the Portuguese delegation that participated with the Angolan in the 3rd meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the two countries.
