The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, will follow the meeting through a video conference, as will the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres.

France decided to add to this occasion a conference in support of the Sudanese transition on Monday morning, which will be attended by the main players in the region.

On Monday night, President Emmanuel Macron will host African leaders at the Elysee Palace for dinner and the conference will take place on Tuesday afternoon, at the Grand Palais Ephemere, built next to the Eiffel Tower, while the Grand Palais original is in the works.
