A press note from the Criminal Investigation Service states that the arrest was carried out in the context of "Operation Sparks", carried out by the central directorate for Combating Crimes Against Heritage.

He is a 33-year-old Chinese citizen, in charge of the company "Ferforte Comércio Geral Lda", who was found in possession of 52 gutter caps, with the inscription "Provincial Government of Luanda" and more than 3000 meters of electrical cables , of different sizes, totaling 42 rolls, "with visible signs of earth around them, with strong signs of having been vandalized goods on the public road, and nine railroad tracks".

According to the note, the seized gutter covers were subtracted from the new housing centralities of Sequele, Kilamba and Zago-0.

"From the preliminary interview conducted with the detainee, it can be concluded that this is a receiver and that the material in question would be melted at the company Ferfote, in order to produce rods for later sale," the statement said.

The detained citizen was already present at the Public Prosecutor's Office, who ordered his preventive detention, and steps are still being taken to determine and detain others involved.
