The measure was announced by the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security.
In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the ministry says that "taking into account that the aforementioned date will coincide with Thursday, and should give way to the 'bridge', with the consequent suspension of work activity on the following working day (May 2, Friday)", the public service will work an additional hour and a half per day from the 24th of this month.
"One and a half hours is added to the daily working period in the public service, between the 24th, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th of April this year", informs the ministry.
The secretariat warns that "it is the responsibility of those responsible for each administrative body or service to ensure compliance" with this measure.
"Workers who work shifts are not covered", the ministry also reports.
