At the meeting, chaired by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the government's collegiate body assessed the proposal to revise the securities code, to be subsequently sent to the National Assembly.
"Among other issues, the Council of Ministers assessed, for submission to the National Assembly, a proposal to revise the securities code, in order to adapt it to the current macroeconomic context and the stage of the national securities and derivatives market", informs the Presidency of the Republic, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
Another topic analyzed was the progressive elimination of single-use plastics.
"The body also assessed the presidential decree on the National Action Plan for the Progressive Elimination of Single-Use Plastics 2025-2027, considering the need to design strategies aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and reducing the negative impacts of plastic waste on fauna, flora and public health, encouraging the use of sustainable alternatives", says the note.
The meeting also highlighted information regarding the "numbers of the Public Investment Program (PIP) in 2024, which had 3480 projects registered".
"Among the main results achieved, the construction and rehabilitation of schools stands out; the construction and modernization of hospitals, health centers and posts and the construction and rehabilitation of roads", says the presidency.
