"The Lucrécia Paim Maternity Hospital has a new space that will provide better quality services in the area of Gynecology and Pathological Puerperium, opened this Wednesday, April 2, in an event witnessed by the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta", reads the statement.
This new space, the note adds, "has 13 rooms, with capacity for 52 beds for hospitalization, equipped with the most modern resources and conditions to provide the well-being of patients in a close and humanized relationship".
Speaking on the occasion, the head of the Health department praised the general management of the maternity hospital, which "despite scarce financial resources, is prioritizing expenses and carrying out rehabilitation and expansion works for some services".
Thus, the governor mentioned the works in progress in the central laboratory, as well as the works completed in the emergency bank, "the creation of a specific area for obstetric fistulas and the improvement of conditions in the training areas".
She also highlighted the "technological implementation of the Pharmacy Management System that allows the control of the route of medicines, in addition to providing information regarding the cost of medicines per patient".
The general director of the Lucrécia Paim Maternity Hospital, Lígia Alves, considered that the "new space will allow better accommodation for patients and a dignified work environment for health professionals".
The note from the guardianship also says that this maternity ward receives "more than 100 users per day to generate life and in search of reproductive health solutions".
