According to a government statement, to which VerAngola had access, these are works along National Roads 120 and 220 to build a metal bridge over the Cuilo River, as well as to build a hydraulic crossing on the Luanda Railway branch.
"The provinces of Cuanza-Sul, Uíge and Cuanza-Norte will benefit from a set of emergency public works along the National Road (EN) 120, and on the EN 220, for the construction of a metal bridge over the Cuilo River, as well as for the construction of a hydraulic crossing on the Luanda Railway line", reads the note.
To this end, the document says, the head of state gave the green light for the projects.
"To this end, President João Lourenço authorized the expenditure, opening and formalization of emergency contracting, using funds from the Road and Emergency Works Fund, through Presidential Order No. 97/25 of March 26", says the note.
The contracts will be signed by the Minister of Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing.
