Data from the Migration and Foreigners Service, cited by the newspaper Opaís, reveal that in the period between September last year and March this year, a total of 46,308 people entered national territory.

Of this number, the most citizens entering Angola were Portuguese, Chinese, Brazilians, Germans, Indians, French, British, Spanish and Americans.

Regarding departures from Angola, in light of the aforementioned presidential decree, in the period in question, 43,666 people of various nationalities left the national territory.

Making a diagnosis of the tourism sector, Afonso Vita, general director of the Institute for Tourist Promotion (INFOTUR), considered that there has been an improvement compared to previous years.

"We are better compared to previous years. And I say this because anyone who follows the tourism sector in Angola can realize that we have never been as close to achieving goals as we are experiencing now", he said, in an interview with the newspaper Opaís.

According to Afonso Vita, currently "it is felt that there is a greater sensitivity to the development of the sector" compared to other years: "Today it is felt that there is a greater sensitivity to the development of the sector compared to previous years. In the past there was talk of There was a lot of tourism, but in terms of concrete actions, there was nothing. And now, we can say that we are closer than ever", he pointed out.

Remember that, since October last year, Angola no longer requires a tourist visa for annual stays of less than 90 days per year in 98 countries. This list of countries includes, for example, Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde, China, among many others.
