In separate audiences, João Lourenço met with José Penha Labrador, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, whose mission in the country lasted five years.
On that occasion, according to a note from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access, the ambassador transmitted a message from the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, to the head of state.
According to the outgoing diplomat, "the message praises the efforts undertaken" by João Lourenço "towards the pacification of the Great Lakes Region".
Also this Thursday, the President of the Republic also received farewell greetings from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to Angola, Lawrence Chama Chalungumana, who "represented Zambia's interests in Angola for the last seven years".
At the end of the hearing, the diplomat – mentioned in another CIPRA note, to which VerAngola had access – was "satisfied with having contributed to the consolidation and strengthening of bilateral relations".
