MPLA considers legitimate complaints from Angolan youth

The MPLA considered the youth's claims on training and employment to be legitimate, noting that this important segment of society continues to “keep a captive place” on the agenda of governance priorities.

In a message alluding to the day dedicated to youth, the Political Bureau of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) said that it is "aware that much remains to be done for the sustained solution of the main problems of Angolan youth".

"The MPLA considers your claims in the field of training, promotion and insertion in the labor market to be fair and legitimate and defends the reinforcement of measures aimed at keeping the flame of Angolan youth alive", the note said.

The party urged the executive to "continue to work in the incessant search for solutions for better education and professional training, creation and greater job offer to satisfy the main concerns of this important segment of society, which continues to maintain a captive place on the agenda of governance priorities for the period 2022-2027".

On this Friday, the MPLA Political Bureau greeted all young Angolans, urging them to prioritize respect for democracy and the preservation of peace, as fundamental assets for the integral development of any society.

"The Political Bureau reiterates that the country has always relied on the role of youth on all fronts and takes the opportunity to thank the selfless, firm and patriotic dedication, throughout the entire process of construction, implementation and consolidation in the Republic of Angola of a Sovereign democratic state of law", he stressed, in the message.

The party also expressed "unconditional" support for the development of a broad youth and student associative movement, with a penchant for volunteering, which organizes programs and projects to guarantee a better future for young people and future generations, as well as "the promotion of a patriotic and civic behavior and culture of citizens in general and youth in particular".
