Among the motivations for creating the event is the fact that it intends to "fill" the void that exists in relation to the "fashion events agenda", explained Hiliana Domingos, responsible for the event and also director of the only magazine in the fashion segment currently in existence. in the country.
"We already had, in the country, a considerable agenda of fashion events, events that helped a lot, both in the internationalization of artists and in the internationalization of national creations. We also intend to fill this void and also work in close relationship with new talents", said the official, quoted in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
According to the statement, the 'Fashion Talk' – presented this Thursday at a press conference –, more than a social mission, "is positioned as the event that will support the different stakeholders of the fashion sector in the country, in the exhibition of their works".
Taking place between the 19th and 20th of May, at the Talatona Convention Center, the event aims to bring together sector drivers – such as designers, creators, models, producers, among others –, in two days full of debates, networking sessions and fashion shows with Creator presentations.
In the presentation session of the conference, the presence of Marith Jóia, creator and responsible for the Fashion Course at the Faculty of Art; Adilson Santos, event producer; Maria Ângela de Almeida, creator and lecturer; fashion students from the Faculty of Arts (FAARTE), who will also be part of the event; creators who will exhibit their pieces, as well as the entire team that makes up the event's organizing cast.
The event is an initiative of Chocolate magazine and aims to "promote fashion, culture, and all those entrepreneurs and fashion makers who want to make steps in this business segment", reads the statement.
"With this project, Fashion Talk, the magazine intends to mark its position in the national market, create a platform for interaction between the national textile industry and fashion makers", adds the note.
