"UNITEL was ranked by the US company, Ookla, as the mobile operator with the fastest network in Central Africa, during the third and fourth quarter of 2021", reads a statement made available on Unitel's Facebook.
In the note, the operator reveals that "it reached a speed score of 21.19, with average download speeds of 23.01 megabits per second (mbps) and average upload speeds of 9.01 mbps, which gave them the award".
Ookla, founded in 2006, is headquartered in Seattle (United States of America) and provides information on the performance, quality and accessibility of networks around the world.
