The head of state, who was speaking at the end of the inauguration of the unit, also made it known that the infrastructure will benefit local citizens, since the scarcity of health services forced people to travel to other points in the country in search of treatment.
"This hospital unit comes to solve the health problems in the region and I hope that its professionals and users give the best possible treatment", he said, quoted by Angop.
It should be noted that the infrastructure was inaugurated this Thursday, by João Lourenço. It has a capacity for 200 beds and comprises several services, such as emergency, hemodialysis, gynecology and obstetrics, among others.
