Of the total of 16 billion kwanzas handled during 2021, 6.8 billion relate to movements in ATMs, 4.3 billion kwanzas to operations at automatic payment terminals and 4.9 billion kwanzas in MCX Express.
EMIS states, in a statement, that last year "the highest records of operations were achieved in all channels", specifying that 373 million operations were carried out at ATMs, which handled more than 6.8 billion kwanzas.
In turn, through the automatic payment terminals, 308 million operations were carried out, leading to the mobilization of 4.3 billion kwanzas.
On the other hand, MCX Express "was the most expressive channel", if one considers that it is the most recent. This channel recorded 338 million operations, moving 4.9 billion kwanzas.
The statement said that the multicaixa network currently has around 3,200 automatic teller machines and more than 140,000 automatic payment terminals throughout the country. It also "aggregates more than 500 thousand users of the MCX Express channel", assuming "the commitment to maintain the growth of the network to achieve the total dematerialization of payments".
The figures were released within the scope of the 20th anniversary of EMIS, marked on Monday, April 18th.
