Angola simplifies commercial licensing for low-risk activities

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce exempted activities considered to be of low risk to human and animal health from the need for a commercial license, a measure that aims to improve the business environment in the country.

A note on the simplification of commercial licensing, which the Lusa agency had access to, indicates that activities related to food, live plant species, animals, poultry and fish, medicines, automobiles, fuels, lubricants continue to have a commercial license. and chemicals.

"The remaining activities considered to be of low risk to human and animal health are exempt from the commercial license, being subject to a simplified registration and authorization procedure with the municipal administrations, which allows the commercial establishment to be opened on the same day as the application is submitted. ", stressed the document.

As for activities considered to be high risk, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is articulating with the other ministerial departments involved in the process, to make the process less bureaucratic.

The reduction of bureaucracy aims at enabling its local licensing, reducing the deadlines for issuing prior licenses, reducing the procedures and document load, as well as eliminating the duplication of requests for documents already requested by other sectors.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the application of these measures represents a more favorable business environment for attracting national and foreign private investment, fosters employability, optimizes the collection of tax revenues and contributes to a great extent to the implementation of the program. reconversion of the informal economy.
