Covid-19: Angola counts three deaths and 126 more cases in the last 24 hours

Angola recorded 126 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus, three deaths and 168 recovered from covid-19 in the last 24 hours, health officials said.

According to data from the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, of the total number of new infections, 125 were reported in Luanda and one in Cuanza Sul, aged between 4 and 87 years, being 60 male and 66 female.

The deaths in Luanda refer to three nationals, aged 63 to 70 years.

With data from the last 24 hours, Angola has a total of 23,487 positive cases, 553 deaths, 22,058 recovered and 846 active cases, of which two are critical, eight serious, 45 moderate, 30 mild and 761 asymptomatic. 98 people are hospitalized, 38 in institutional quarantine and 1133 contacts under epidemiological surveillance.

The laboratories processed, in the reference period, 2506 samples by RT-PCR, making the cumulative of 497,453 samples processed to date, with a positivity rate of 5.1 percent.

At the entry and exit points of Luanda, 756 people were subjected to the rapid serological test.
