The young biologist Adjany da Silva Freitas Costa, 30 years old, was appointed on Monday as the new minister of a "super ministry", which results from the mergers of the ministries of Culture, Tourism and Environment.
The new Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment that results from the remodeling of the Angolan executive, which has shrunk from 28 to 21 ministries, will count on the State Secretariats for Culture, Tourism and Environment.
"This new configuration that the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment now has, the departure, leaves us with enormous expectations, not least because the holder of the ministry is young, a biologist, a person who will certainly bring a new work environment, new ideas to the new Ministry, "the president of UNAC-SA, Zeca Moreno, told the press.
For the musician and leader of artists and composers, the joviality of the new minister of the sector "may, in a way, help to strengthen the Ministry and feed our expectation that there will continue to be a bet on research".
And "in the dissemination of our cultural values and also the appreciation of Culture makers in our country", he pointed out.
Zeca Moreno recalled that UNAC-SA is an institution of public benefit and a partner of the State, added: "we are available to participate in the projects that the Ministry may design in order to give our contribution with a view to strengthening the sector".
The new Minister of Culture, Tourism and Environment is one of the winners of the United Nations Young Champions of Earth 2019 award, for her commitment and protection of the environment.
