Grupo Carrinho promises to register two million farmers in Social Security

The agro-industrial group Carrinho announced that it wants to register two million farmers with Social Security by 2030 to guarantee producers' access to social benefits.

:

The announcement was made this Tuesday, in Luanda, by the group's administrator, Samuel Kandumdo, who signed a cooperation agreement with the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) for the inclusion of workers in the agricultural sector in the Mandatory Social Protection System.

According to the president of the INSS Board of Directors, Anselmo Monteiro, quoted in a note from the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, this measure serves as a response to a sector of low-income activities, as a future guarantee of benefiting from Social Security, when they finish their professional career.

The head of INSS stated that the special regime favors low-income activities, with lower and more attractive contribution rates.

According to Anselmo Monteiro, INSS currently has more than three million workers and more than 295 companies registered.

On the other hand, the director of Carrinho said that the group began working with 50 thousand producers, on 25 large farms, currently having 150 thousand producers, who receive training and qualification, to guarantee the quality of services.

The group, he highlighted, seeks to work with national raw materials, and is developing a program to promote family farming in six provinces, namely, Benguela, Bié, Cuanza-Sul, Huambo, Huíla and Malanje.
