According to a statement sent to VerAngola, Business France will accompany the delegation of French companies operating in the agriculture sector, in sectors such as irrigation, storage and drying of cereals, poultry farming, among others.

The mission's agenda includes, among other activities, trips to Malanje and Cuanza Norte. Businesspeople go to these provinces to visit farms and learn about the reality of Angolan agriculture.

"The week's program includes meetings with Angolan institutions and local companies in the sector, field visits, as well as networking opportunities. The businesspeople will travel to the provinces of Cuanza Norte and Malanje to visit farms and learn about the reality of the agricultural sector in Angola," the note reads.

The statement also adds that "the objective is to assess Angola's potential, identify business opportunities, in order to strengthen economic and commercial relations between France and Angola, in a key sector for the diversification of the Angolan economy and food security, and which presents strong development potential".

It is worth noting that this new business mission takes place just two months after the state visit of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to France. On that occasion, the two Presidents expressed their "desire to strengthen economic cooperation, particularly in the agricultural sector".

"Since 2024, Business France has strengthened its activities in the agricultural sector, having organized a business mission to Angola, dedicated to the livestock segment. In the same year, Business France organized the trip of several representatives of Angolan companies to attend the two largest livestock fairs in France: SPACE (dedicated to poultry and pig farming) and the Livestock Summit (focused on cattle breeding)", the note states, which adds that "the participation of these companies in this mission illustrates the desire of French companies to establish themselves in Angola and to join a dynamic and committed business community, represented by more than a hundred French companies, which actively contributes to growth, diversification and employment in Angola".
