During his visit to the department on Tuesday, the minister was accompanied by local authorities and representatives of the security forces.
"On the occasion, tactical demonstrations were made, highlighting the team's preparedness and rapid response capacity in high-risk situations, such as combating terrorism, hostage rescue and operations against organized crime, as part of strengthening cooperation in the field of security and the exchange of experiences between the police forces of the two countries," the Ministry of the Interior reported in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
The visit to this special operations department also made it possible to "analyze future partnerships linked to training, equipment modernization and joint strategies".
Tuesday was also marked by a visit to Turkey's national police academy.

In addition, the Minister of the Interior also visited the Criminal Department of the Turkish Gendarmerie, where he learned about this organization and its functioning.

At the Criminal Department of the Turkish Gendarmerie, Manuel Homem also signed the book of honor of this institution.
Also on Tuesday, the day was marked by a meeting between Manuel Homem and his Turkish counterpart, Ali Yerlikaya.
