Lulo continues to bear fruit: two diamonds weighing more than 100 carats discovered

Located in the province of Lunda Norte, the Lulo mine proved, once again, its wealth. This time, two diamonds weighing more than 100 carats were discovered in the space of two days, announced the Lucapa Diamond Company.

:

It is a diamond weighing 162 carats and another weighing 116 carats. In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the company states that the 162-carat stone was recovered first and, the following day, they recovered the 116-carat diamond.

Both discoveries happened last month. "Lucapa Diamond Company Limited and its Angolan partners Endiama and Rosas and Petalas are pleased to announce the recovery of two diamonds weighing over 100 carats in February at the Lulo Mine", reads the note, which adds that the two diamonds were recovered from Mining Block 46.

The company also informs that it will sell the diamonds, one of which through bidding.

"The 116-carat Type IIa diamond will be sold through bidding at a later date, along with other recently recovered high-value Type IIa diamonds, while the 162-carat will be sold as part of the mine's regular sale later this month," said Lucapa.
