Marcy Lopes exemplified that, among those fired, there were workers who deceived citizens by lying about the non-existence of the Single Payment Reference to the State, in order to later receive payments in cash, harming the State's coffers.
In statements this Monday, as part of a visit to the province of Huíla – cited by Angop –, the head of Justice and Human Rights said that there are dozens of workers in this condition and the supervision will continue to "purge" the service public, which he considered to be a place of excellence, noting that "zero tolerance" was declared in the guardianship, as a result of the plan to combat corruption.
"We have seen complaints from citizens regarding service in some justice services, which is why we have been making improvements in the quality of service, with the zero tolerance mechanism, for all people who do not provide good service to the public or who charge a fee different from that charged to citizens", he pointed out, quoted by Angop.
The minister thus reiterated that one of the supervisory concerns is improving the quality of service provision, with the aim of ensuring that employees actually serve the population and that citizens, when they go to these services, feel treated with respect and see their problem resolved quickly.
"For a long time the idea was created that in the public service you don't resign, we don't want to show that this is different, we just want to discipline people and if to do that we have to fire some people, even hundreds, it will be done because at the end of our journey, what matters is ensuring that citizens have a good, quality public service", he added.
According to Angop, he also spoke about the existence of queues at services, something that he says must be eliminated in the short term, as in many cases it ends up not being necessary. Therefore, he said, there must be more work with citizens in order to have more organization aimed at faster and more effective service.
It should be noted that Marcy Lopes began a three-day visit to the province of Huíla. This Monday, the holder of the Justice and Human Rights portfolio visited the vicinity of the provincial services of the Justice and Human Rights delegation, the Identification Archive, the Registry Office, among others. Still within his journey in Huíla, on Tuesday, the minister will go to the municipality of Chibia, having scheduled a return to Lubango on the same day, while on Wednesday, his agenda foresees the holding of an assembly with workers linked to the ministry in Lubango.
