Best scorer in the history of the Angolan football team, with 38 goals in 78 games, Fabríce Alcibíades Maieco (Akwá) 'hanged up his boots', six months after FIFA lifted the sanctions that prevented him from officially exercising activities sporting events, for 13 years, due to breach of contract with Al-Wakrah, from Qatar.
The former striker's career was marked, among several moments, by the famous goal that qualified, for the first time, the Angolan team for a Football World Cup, the Germany 2006, after the team's victory over the Rwandan counterpart, by 1- 0, in Rwandan territory, in 2005.
He began his career at Nacional de Benguela, a team in the second division of national football.
He represented Petro de Luanda, in Girabola, after having played for several clubs in Europe, including Benfica, and Asia.
