In the press release, SIC informs that the Angolan citizen, aged 36, was arrested on the 1st of this month, being implicated in crimes of qualified fraud, illegal exercise of profession and serious offenses to physical integrity.
The suspect introduces himself as a doctor, is the owner of the Daisy Well clinic, located in the urban district of Belas, in the centrality of Kilamba, and has been carrying out illicit activities for more than four years, says the note.
According to the SIC, the alleged doctor claims to be a specialist in gynecology, obstetrics, urology, artificial insemination procedures, in vitro fertilization, also carrying out blood tests, vaginal exudate, hydroturbation, egg retrieval and hormone tests.
The exams were carried out in precarious conditions, having in the last four years deceived more than 200 women who sought the clinic to have a child, who were charged high sums to achieve this objective, according to the note.
The amounts charged varied between two million kwanzas and 10 million kwanzas, with, for example, for artificial insemination being charged 2.6 million kwanzas and for in vitro fertilization 4.6 million kwanzas.
"As for the tests, these ranged from 400,000 kwanzas to 600,000 kwanzas, under the pretext that urine, blood and vaginal exudate tests are sent to England, where the results come from, claiming to work in partnership with doctors in that country, also simulating to be placed at the Maternidade Lucrécia Paim, where he performs the duties of a doctor-surgeon", says the document.
The SIC highlighted that the alleged doctor caused various infectious diseases with his illicit activities, due to inappropriate dosages of medication and poor handling of instruments.
