João Lourenço indicated the name of the leaders of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) and the National Front for the Liberation of Angola (FNLA) "taking into account the changes that have taken place" in the presidencies of the parties .
"(...) The Presidents of political parties and coalitions of political parties represented in the National Assembly are, by virtue of their functions, members of the Council of the Republic", it can be read.
Isaías Samakuva (UNITA) and Lucas Ngonda (FNLA) see the functions they held in the presidency's advisory body completed.
The President also appointed Jorge Alicerces Valentim, historic leader of UNITA, member of the Council of the Republic.
