"A Portuguese registered EuroAtlantic airways plane, which ended a repatriation operation from Thailand to the UK, after a cruise company was forced to interrupt the schedule of the cruise season in Asia, given the risks of the new coronavirus pandemic, is involved in a new repatriation operation for US citizens from Luanda's 4 February International Airport to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport," the airline said in a statement.
In 2015, EuroAtlantic was authorised by the US federal government to operate flights between the European Union and that country.
The coronavirus, responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic, infected more than 220,000 people worldwide, of whom more than 8,900 died.
