The governor, who was speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the end of the battle, revealed that the government already has in mind a project that will help in the rehabilitation of the municipality.
According to the responsible, cited by Angop, some infrastructures will be built, which aim to help boost tourism in that place. The project foresees the construction of a three star hotel, houses and commercial spaces in that municipality.
Júlio Bessa also said that the objective with this project is that Cuito Cuanavale becomes a world heritage site.
The governor revealed that many tourists from South Africa have been visiting Cuito Cuanavale. However, he considered that the number of tourists could increase if National Road 140 - which connects Caiundo to Katuitui - is improved, arguing that this would facilitate the mobilization of tourists to the province.
As for the construction of the infrastructure, he considered that it would attract more Angolans to visit the municipality.
