Testing of suspected coronaviruses on Angolan territory was being carried out in Portuguese and South African laboratories. Now, the scenario is going to change: the about a thousand tests that the country already has in hand will be done at the National Institute of Health Research (INIS).
Franco Mufinda, who was speaking at the opening of the Covid-19 seminar, also said that the laboratory has the technical and technological conditions to carry out the tests, relying on the work of specialized technicians.
The country has not yet registered any cases of coronavirus. However, it has under quarantine 147 people, distributed by the centers of Calumbo and Barra do Kwanza.
