Angola is from midnight this Friday and until 11.59pm April in a state of emergency which led the day before thousands of people to run to some of the main gas sales points in Luanda, causing huge queues.
Sonangol assured in a statement that "there is no reason for the queues" and "other reactions fuelled by fears of a possible shortage of domestic gas, gasoline or diesel".
The state of emergency declared in the country, to control the spread of the new coronavirus, establishes restrictions on circulation on national territory and the possibility of compulsory confinement in homes or health establishments, among other measures.
The new coronavirus, responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic, has already infected 505,000 more people around the world, of whom some 23,000 have died.
Angola announced its fourth case of infection on Thursday.
