In a statement sent to VerAngola, TAAG informs that it is attending the international event 'Air Cargo Africa', which is being held in Nairobi (Kenya), between February 19 and 21, and highlights that it was recognized with an award.
"On the second day of Air Cargo Africa, February 20, TAAG was recognized with a participation award, reinforcing its commitment and influence in the air cargo sector on the continent," the note says, adding: "In addition to this distinction, TAAG is also competing for the award of 'Best African Cargo Airline 2024'."
On Wednesday – the first day of the event, which has the motto "Air Cargo in Africa Poised to Grow, Despite All Odds" – the company's Cargo and Mail Director, David Ambrige, "participated in two debate panels, where essential topics for the development of the air cargo transport ecosystem on the continent were discussed, namely: 'Facilitating Trade in Africa – Developing a Multimodal Roadmap' and 'The Now and Next Technology in Air Cargo'".
According to the airline, its participation in this event aims to strengthen "commercial relations with economic agents, promote cargo services and destinations, as well as position TAAG as a facilitator of international exchange and trade, at the import/export level, reinforcing the potential of the Luanda hub".
TAAG is present at the event with an exhibition stand and its delegation is headed by Miguel Carneiro, administrator of the commercial department.
This event brings together "professionals and entities from the air cargo, logistics and international trade sector, in an environment conducive to networking and business development", says the company's note.
