The occasion brought together pilots and enthusiasts of this sport, according to the municipal administration of Tômbwa, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

"The 6th edition of the Rally TT Dunas started this Sunday, in the dunes of Namibe, Tômbwa, Praia do Pau, bringing together drivers and motorsports enthusiasts for a show of speed and endurance", says the note.

On the occasion, the municipal administrator, Adilson Hach, "welcomed the participants and tourists, encouraging them to explore not only the stunning landscapes, but also the tourist potential and services of the city of Tômbwa".

Abel Kapitango, provincial vice-governor for Political, Social and Economic Affairs, emphasized the "importance of the event for the local economy, valuing the publicity that attracts tourists and moves the province", having said that the provincial government will continue to provide support to these initiatives.

"On this first day of the race, the pilots faced a 250-kilometer course, challenging the unpredictable movement of the dunes and the desert winds," the statement added.
