In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the ministry says that Carnival Day, this year celebrated on March 4, "is a national holiday" and, considering that "the aforementioned date will coincide with Tuesday" it should give way to a 'bridge', "with the consequent suspension of work activity on the previous working day", namely Monday.
Thus, the ministry informs that "one and a half hours will be added to the daily working period in the public service, between the 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th of February this year".
The secretariat also states that "it is the responsibility of those responsible for each administrative body or service to ensure compliance" with this measure.
"Workers who work on-call are not covered by this circular," warns.
