"'Moda Solidária', an event that is already a milestone in the promotion of national fashion, solidarity and culture in Angola, celebrated its 15th edition last Friday, February 7, at Epic Sana, in Luanda, with a unique show that brought together more than 300 people, including creators, artists and the public. The beneficiary of this edition was Lar Consolação dos Aflitos, located in Viana, which welcomes and cares for people in vulnerable situations", reads a statement sent to VerAngola.

According to the note, part of the income raised in the current edition "is intended to improve the living conditions of the residents of Lar Consolação dos Aflitos, reinforcing 'Moda Solidária's' commitment to solidarity and social well-being".

According to Hadjalmar El Vaim, CEO of the Hadja Models agency and promoter of the event, since the first edition, this event "has been a beacon of creativity, innovation and solidarity".

"Since its first edition in 2012, Moda Solidária has been a beacon of creativity, innovation and solidarity, traveling through several provinces of Angola and leaving a legacy of unity and support for communities. This edition marks a special moment in the history of the event, celebrating more than a decade of commitment to national fashion and social causes," said Hadjalmar El Vaim.

Quoted in the note, the CEO of the Hadja Models agency and promoter of 'Moda Solidária' highlighted the support of national brands, adding that nine brands participated in the event this year.

"The promotion of this event would not be possible without the support of national brands that, year after year, join the 'Moda Solidária' show, showcasing their exclusive collections and reinforcing the creativity and diversity of Angolan fashion. This year we had the honor of having the participation of nine brands, namely Centrooptico, Nércia Stylist, Hava, Bago Vermelho, Agulha de Ouro, Blessed Hands Design, Nosso Mundo Nossa Vaidade, Melissa and Vieg Yuro", he pointed out.

"'Moda Solidária' is more than an event. It is a movement that unites fashion, music and solidarity, promoting the talent of Angolan designers and supporting social causes. Over the years, it has been an essential platform for the development of the fashion industry in Angola, as well as a space for celebrating national culture, consolidating itself as one of the main events in the Angolan cultural calendar", said the official.

However, the event was not just about fashion. According to the statement, in addition to fashion, the event "provided a night of pure entertainment, with musical performances by stars that entertained the audience, such as Biura, Projeto Sentada Familiar, Mylson, Telminho 'The Goat', Mayazuda, Negra and Mona Nicastro".

Since 2012, the event has passed through several provinces of the country, including Luanda, Malanje, Uíge, Moxico and Cuando Cubango.
