The intention was expressed by Thando Mudzvamuse, Zimbabwe's ambassador to Angola, who held a meeting with the governor of Bié, Celeste Adolfo, on Monday.
On the occasion, the diplomat, who began a two-day work trip to Bié this Monday, said that the visit aims to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
"The ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Thando Mudzvamuse, announced that the two-day working visit to Bié province aims to strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship between Zimbabwe and Angola, in particular with Bié province in the creation of partnerships in various areas with emphasis on the agriculture sector", reads a statement from the government of Bié province, to which VerAngola had access.
"We know that Bié has good agricultural areas and this has sparked our interest in being able to exchange experiences, as we have technological conditions and human resources, which can be useful for Angola", said the diplomat, adding that it was for this reason that he chose to go to the province, in order to check the situation there, as well as identify the best products that are produced, writes Angop.
During the meeting, the provincial governor addressed "words of welcome to the delegation and made known the socio-economic potential that the province has, fundamentally in the sectors of agriculture, commerce, industry, mineral resources and tourism", points out the note from the provincial government.
The ambassador's agenda in Bié includes visits to historical sites and agricultural projects.
