During her trip to the US, the Finance Minister will be in Boston and New York this week, the Finance Ministry reported in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
"A delegation led by the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa, will be in Boston and New York, in the week of February 25 to 28, to meet with investors from that region of the United States of America (USA), as part of the strategy of proactive and transparent engagement with international capital markets for the year 2025", says the note.
The initiative, coordinated by the Debt Management Unit, aims to present the "evolution of the country's macroeconomic indicators in recent years, keeping investors informed", as well as allowing them to "have updated information for decision-making associated with investing in credit risk" in Angola.
According to the Ministry, this measure is "essential to strengthen the national economy, increase the confidence of international investors and reduce financing costs, reflecting Angola's commitment to responsible and sustainable financial management".
This initiative began with the presentation of the Annual Debt Plan, "followed by a tour of the Middle East (Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates), with the end of this non-deal roadshow scheduled for March".
