In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the SIC informs that the detainee is an auditor from the second tax department of the AGT.
The SIC states that, "following the investigation into the criminal proceedings of the media case of AGT, of the 7 billion kwanzas, in compliance with an arrest warrant, was arrested, this Sunday, at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, an AGT employee, with the role of technical tax auditor of the 2nd tax department of cargo, for facts that configure the crimes of obstruction of justice and criminal association, substantiated by strong evidence of his involvement in the fraudulent scheme of payments for compensation, in relation to the reimbursement of IVA".
The arrest took place as passengers disembarked from a flight from Dubai.
"The arrest took place at the time of disembarking passengers from the Emirates airline flight, coming from Dubai, as he was a fugitive in Lisbon and embarked for Dubai on February 19, with Luanda as his final destination on the current date", reads the note.
The detainee will be "presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office for subsequent legal procedures", highlights the SIC, highlighting that investigations continue "around this complex process, for the full clarification of this fraudulent scheme".
It is worth noting that, within the scope of this case, other arrests have already been made, including three tax directors.
