According to Saulo Montrond, founder of TVA, generalist content linked to Angola and Cape Verde will be broadcast, with a focus on entertainment.
Available at position 158 on ZAP, the aforementioned channel will allow the Cape Verdean community in Angola and vice versa to be informed about the main issues linked to both countries as well as Angolans to be aware of what is happening in the other country, said the person responsible, cited by Angop.
At the moment, the channel only has one journalist and one cameraman, but plans are to move forward with hiring. Regarding this matter, Saulo Montrond did not reveal a precise number to recruit.
Quoted by Angop, he also added that in the short and medium term they will be able to start some production from Angolan soil.
Júlio Morais, Cape Verde's ambassador to Angola, said that the arrival of this channel on the Angolan market will contribute to strengthening relations, and also considered that the aforementioned channel will allow an increase in mutual knowledge between Angola and Cape Verde and also provide interculturality between the two peoples.
On the occasion, he also took the opportunity to reiterate that interest in resuming air links with Angola remains.
The cultural exchange was also highlighted by Eurípedes Varela, director of channel and content management at ZAP. The person responsible, cited by Angop, considered that this collaboration translates into a relevant action for a better cultural conversation between Angola and Cape Verde.
