AngoMart opens first store in Saurimo and creates more than 50 jobs

AngoMart opened, this Thursday, its first store in Saurimo (province of Lunda Sul). Located in the Agostinho Neto neighborhood, the supermarket created more than 50 jobs.

A communiqué from the government of Lunda Sul, to which VerAngola had access, informs that after "a long period of operation in an experimental phase, Noble Group S.A, inaugurated, this Thursday, in the Agostinho Neto neighborhood in Saurimo, its first store in the east of the country, through which it created 56 new jobs for young people in the province".

According to David Melo, expansion director at AngoMart, the establishment brings "innovation, diversity, quality and fair prices" to the eastern market.

Cited in the statement, the official also mentioned that the new establishment, focused on the sale of basic basket products and household appliances, "it has the capacity to serve the two other provinces in the eastern corridor of the country".

Acting governor Cláudio Pemessa, who attended the ceremony, took the opportunity to encourage businessmen to expand the supermarket network to "three other municipalities that surround the province".

Addressing the young employees at the new store, the official, also mentioned in the note, "urged for greater commitment" to the work "to allow more young people from Lunda Sul to be involved with the expansion of AngoMart services".

The ceremony was also attended by the municipal administrator of Saurimo, provincial directors, representatives of public and private companies, defense and internal security bodies.

According to Angop, the new supermarket cost 200 million kwanzas and is capable of accommodating more than 1000 shelves.
