Vice-President Bornito de Sousa represents Angola at the EU-Africa summit

The Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, travels this Tuesday to Brussels, to participate in the 6th European Union-African Union Summit, which will take place on Thursday and Friday in representation of the Head of State, João Manuel Gonçalves Lawrence.

According to a press release from the Office of the Support Bodies for the Vice-President of the Republic, the Angolan delegation also includes the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium, to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Head of the Mission of the Republic of Angola to the European Union, Mário Constantino, and the Ambassador of Angola to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Francisco Cruz.

The 6th European Union-Africa Summit, an initiative of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will bring together the leaders of the 27 Member States and Heads of State and Government of the African Union in the European capital, within the scope of a common agenda for the establishment of a Europe-Africa alliance capable of providing a favorable environment for the creation of an area of ​​solidarity, security, stability and lasting prosperity, the note adds.
