The strike was called by the Provincial Union of Cabin Crew (Sinpropnc), which calls for better working conditions and social benefits.

The workers demand the updating of the values of flight hours indexed to the dollar, the maintenance of the availability regime, the translation of the manuals and the "humanization" of work schedules.

TAAG cabin crew members also complain about the employer's "refusal" to establish a facility scheme that values and gives dignity to the worker, regretting "deep asymmetries with other classes".

They accuse the company of wanting to put an end to the system of availability of employment contracts, disregarding the opinion of the Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security on the said system "which shows a lack of common sense on the part of the carrier's administration", reads the declaration of strike.

The workers foresee minimum services that are indispensable to satisfy needs, as well as other services that prove indispensable.
