João Lourenço makes changes and dismisses and appoints public entities

Several public entities were, this Friday, dismissed and appointed by the President of the Republic. Through decrees, João Lourenço carried out the dismissal and appointment of entities from ministries, public companies, institutes and the National Bank of Angola (BNA).

Thus, according to a statement from CIPRA to which VerAngola had access, the head of state dismissed Pascoal Borges Alé Fernandes and Hélder Jonas Leonardo Marcelino, from the positions of Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies and Secretary of State for Tourism, respectively.

Were also exonerated Victor da Silva (vice-governor of the province of Moxico for the Political, Social and Economic Sector); Elmano Inácio Herculano Francisco (vice-governor of the province of Huambo for Technical Services and Infrastructure) and Edgar Marcelino dos Santos Hilário (vice-governor of the province of Bié for Technical Services and Infrastructure).

Álvaro Teixeira Costa Fernão was dismissed from his position as non-executive director of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Angola, while "the term of office of Ângelo Miguel Buta João, as executive director of the Board of Directors of the Angolan Institute of Communications – INACOM, was declared to have ended".

Regarding the appointments, according to CIPRA, the following individuals were "appointed to the position of Deputy Attorney General of the Republic:Africano dos Santos Gambôa; Agostinho Kapapelo Kalukembe; Astrigildo João Pedro Culolo; Carlos Manuel dos Santos; Elizete da Graça João Paulo Francisco; Herculano Chilanda; João Valeriano; Luís Ferreira Benza Zanga and Neto Joaquim Neto".

The long list of appointments also includes the names of Marques Correia, appointed as Secretary of State for the Protection of Strategic Objectives of the Ministry of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland; as well as Ângelo Miguel Buta João, who will now occupy the position of Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies.

Also appointed were Augusto Laurindo Kalikemala (as Secretary of State for Tourism); Mário Edilson Gourgel Gavião (non-executive director of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Angola); Dedaldina Raimundo Manuel (executive director of the Board of Directors of the Angolan Institute of Communications – INACOM) and Elizabeth Mafo Sapato Ayala (vice-governor of the province of Moxico for the Political, Social and Economic Sector).

The President of the Republic appointed Edgar Marcelino dos Santos Hilário to the post of vice-governor of the province of Huambo for Technical Services and Infrastructure, as well as José Fernando Tchatuvela, as vice-governor of the province of Bié for Technical Services and Infrastructure.

The list also includes Helena Lourenço Chimena, who was appointed to the position of vice-governor of the province of Cubango for the Political, Social and Economic Sector; João Bonifácio Cassanga (as vice-governor of the province of Cubango for Technical Services and Infrastructure); Agostinho Pedro António (vice-governor of the Province of Icolo and Bengo for the Political, Social and Economic Sector) and Zenilda Leila do Amaral Mandinga (vice-governor of the Province of Icolo and Bengo for Technical Services and Infrastructure).

Completing the appointments are André Zinga Nkula, appointed to the post of vice-governor of the province of Cuando for the Political, Social and Economic Sector; Claudiosvaldo da Glória Nunda Muhongo, appointed vice-governor of the province of Cuando for Technical Services and Infrastructure; Pedro Camilo da Costa Supula (vice-governor of the Province of Moxico Leste for the Political, Social and Economic Sector) and Mário Anderson Mutupa (vice-governor of the Province of Moxico Leste for Technical Services and Infrastructure).
