João Lourenço, through decrees signed by him this Tuesday, "dismissed and appointed heads of diplomatic missions abroad, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic and for the convenience of service", informs CIPRA, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
Among the 12 dismissed ambassadors is Agostinho André de Carvalho Fernandes, who leaves the post of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Ana Maria de Oliveira was dismissed from the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO, while Edgar Augusto Brandão Gaspar Martins, leaves the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited in the Republic of Korea.
Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda (ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland); João Salvador dos Santos Neto (ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the People's Republic of China); José Gonçalves Martins Patrício (ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited in the Republic of Turkey) and Lizeth Nawanga Satumbo Pena (ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited in the Republic of Gabon) were also dismissed.
The list of dismissals also includes Margarida Rosa da Silva Izata, who leaves her post as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited to the offices of the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva; Maria Cândida Teixeira, dismissed from her duties as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Republic of Cuba; and Mário de Azevedo Constantino, who leaves his position as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium.
Nelson Manuel Cosme was dismissed from the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Arab Republic of Egypt, while Syanga Kivuila Samuel Abílio leaves the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Republic of Kenya and Permanent Representative to of the United Nations Offices in Nairobi.
On the side of the nominees, according to the CIPRA statement, are Ana Maria de Oliveira, who will assume the role of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited with the offices of the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva.
João Lourenço also appointed Carlos Cruz de Lemos Sardinha as extraordinary ambassador and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Republic of Cuba; Edgar Augusto Brandão Gaspar Martins as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union and Fernando Miguel as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The list of nominees also includes the names of João Salvador dos Santos Neto (as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited in the Republic of Turkey), Joaquim do Espírito Santo (ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited in the Republic of Gabon), José Gonçalves Martins Patrício (ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) and Mankento Sebastião Lopes (ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Arab Republic of Egypt).
According to CIPRA, Maria Cândida Pereira Teixeira was also appointed as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola accredited by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO; Mário de Azevedo Constantino as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola accredited to the Republic of Kenya and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Offices in Nairobi; and Nelson Manuel Cosme for the functions of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola, accredited by the Republic of Israel.
