As a "modern agricultural unit specialized in rice production", Fazenda Longa is equipped with an irrigation system composed of "seven central pivots and eight linear ones, covering an area of 1180 hectares".

In addition, the aforementioned project also has storage silos "with a total capacity of 9000 tons, grain dryers, a rice processing unit with a capacity of 100 tons per day, in addition to a complete park of agricultural machinery and equipment".

"Rice is one of the priority crops defined by the Executive, within the scope of policies aimed at achieving self-sufficiency and food security, with production having increased fivefold in two years, rising to 50,000 tons in 2024, compared to the 10,000 produced in 2022", reads the note, which also says that the Government has been intensifying efforts to recover unoccupied agricultural land in the country, and that, last year, "Gesterra recovered 27,000 hectares of underused land".
