In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the national concessionaire says that five blocks are at stake, informing that it received, on the 20th of this month, "nine proposals from three foreign companies, to act as operators of blocks KON 1, KON3, KON 7, KON 10 and KON 14".

The presentation of the proposals took place "during a ceremony, within the scope of the launch of the limited public tender for the award of the blocks tendered, but not awarded in the public tender 'Tender 2023'".

"The opening of proposals, which included the participation of the companies ACE Energy and Power Consultants, Prime Africa Trade Pte Ltd and Walcot Group, is supported by the terms of Presidential Decree No. 86/18, of April 2", clarifies the ANPG, adding that after validation, the competitors will go through a "due diligence process to determine the winners".

The meeting was chaired by Alcides Andrade, executive director of ANPG, who, on the occasion, said that the national concessionaire "will continue to focus on ensuring the creation of conditions for the continued attraction of investments for more exploration and production activity in the sector".

Quoted in the statement, the director said that the "main objective" in the award process is to ensure "the sustainability of national oil activity and production".

"Our expectation is that with this process and eventually the awarding of the blocks, investors will move forward quickly with their oil activities and execute what will be agreed in the work plan. Because the main objective in this awarding process is to ensure the sustainability of the activity and the country's oil production", said Alcides Andrade.
