Angolan referee heads to Algeria to 'judge' CHAN games

An Angolan referee will travel to Algeria, where he will officiate at CHAN 2023 games. It is Ivanildo Lopes, international assistant referee, who says he will do his best to dignify refereeing and Angola.

With boarding scheduled on Friday, via Portugal, Ivanildo Lopes stressed that they will have the best of themselves as well as "Ivanildo focused on the objective of reaching the final".

"I leave on Friday, via Portugal, and then to Algeria. What I can say about this trip to CHAN is that you can be sure that you will have the best of me, an Ivanildo focused on the objective of reaching the final, which is everyone's goal", he said, speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

Ivanildo Lopes reinforced again that he will do his best to dignify the arbitration and the country: "You can expect my best, I will do my best to dignify the arbitration and to dignify Angola", he stressed, quoted by RNA.

Remember that CHAN 2023 will take place in Algeria between January 13th and February 4th. In the competition, Angola is included in group D, along with the teams of Mali and Mauritania, and the first game of the 'Palancas Negras' takes place against Mali, on the 16th.
